I was Just wondering if anyone else has been to the new Rec Center in LaSalle. I have now been going for seven weeks. I have found that I have inproved my physical strenght. I have been able to use the swinning pool and the firness centre. I have found that the complex is very accessiable and that they are a big help transfering to the equipment. I am in an electric wheelchair and I have never been able to use a tread mill but now I can walk 20 minutes on one. I am hoping to lose some weight. I am going to the centre at least 4 times a week, once or twice for swinning and two or three times with the fitness center.

good job Sandy! I haven't been since the grand opening....john what are the fees for someone with a disability?

The fees for person with disabilities are the same as everyone else. A person with a disability can bring a support worker with them free of charge. There are specials that are run from time to time. There are also specials especially for seniors which I am one of them. If you want me to post the specials on this site when I see one let me know and if you should see a special that I have not caught I would appreciate knowing. Thanks
